Philosophy
Preschool is a wonderful way for young children to develop the necessary skills to be successful in school. We focus our curriculum around the eight subjects of the Utah Core Standards for Early Learners to help our young students be prepared for this next big step. We believe children learn best when they are moving, playing, and doing hands on activities--not sitting still in a seat or watching a screen. We understand the importance of inspiring creativity, independence, and teamwork as we plant a garden, sing our phonics, numbers, letters, shapes, and colors, build race car courses, bake in the kitchen, and develop important reading skills. We create a safe, and rich learning environment for every student.
Teaching Standards and Certifications
We teach from Utah's Core Standards for Early Learners which include English Language Arts, Fine Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Science. We use a program inspired by Reading in Motion helping young children learn to read in a simple, effective, and fast paced way. We are a State Licensed Preschool which includes being CPR and First Aid Certified, Food Handlers Permit certification, and Home, Fire, Kitchen, and Safety Inspections. All lessons are taught by a current State licensed educator.
Health and Safety
We follow the Utah health and safety standards including the storage of food, medication, and cleaning supplies. We strive to keep kids healthy by frequently sanitizing handles, tables, and chairs. We keep the environment free of safety hazards and have regular safety inspections to ensure we are always in compliance with Utah health and safety standards. We accommodate any allergy or health needs of our students. We are CPR and First Aid certified. All care providers and teachers have had a background check and child licensing training. We strive to make our Preschool a safe place for every student at all times.
